Welcome Volunteers!

All persons desiring to be a coach must meet the following criteria prior to applying for a coaching position within any league.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. 

Applicants must be at least 18 years old. 

• Must hold a high school diploma or GED certificate
• Must complete an SDYFCC coaching application
• Must have a current "LIVE" CPR and First Aid card (Online certification is allowed). Adult, Child and Baby First Aid/CPR/AED Online (redcross.org)
• Must complete the AYF/AYC Human Kinetics New or Returning Coach Course (https://us.humankinetics.com/blogs/ayf-coaching)
• Must complete the CDC Heads Up Concussion Training Course. (https://www.cdc.gov/headsup/youthsports/index.html) 

Must also complete USA Football Online Training Course (Level 1 minimum).  http://usafootball.com/coaching-education

Must also complete YCADA Online Training Course (Level 1 minimum) Y101AYC https://www.ycada.org/ayc

All Volunteers will be subject to background check. All applicants will be required to submit requested information required by a ‘background check service’ to conduct a local, sex-offenders, and national-wide criminal history check. 

All team parents, coaches, board members and all other volunteers who will be on the field or involved in either football or cheer practices, games, competitions, etc. must have completed the background check.
